Backstory: Morrissey was great at Madison Square Garden last night - he got MSG to go "cruelty free" for an evening (no hot dogs
and during "Meat Is Murder" showed a brutal PETA film. Not really necessary for those of us who stopped eating meat years ago (30 years in my case) but some of my fellow concert goers were clearly stunned. Great version of a classic Smiths tune, chilling graphics. Some of the those present booed during "Ganglord" - as Moz showed a video of various acts of police brutality. Not sure if the booing was anti-violence or anti-Moz but I'd say he accomplished his objective ("I'd rather have people hiss than yawn." - James Dean). All in all a very political Moz, who was in excellent form, and a great band.
